Roger Hodgson - Birmingham Symphony Hall

Roger Hodgson at Birmingham Symphony Hall: A Lesson In How To Be A Legendary Musician...

Not only was Hodgson professional, a delight to watch and to listen to, but he was also warm, chatty and surprisingly funny. Hits like 'Breakfast In America', 'The Logical Song' and 'Give A Little Bit' were dropped into a set of old and new songs with barely a second thought, meaning that the audience were kept singing (and dancing!) throughout the majority of the two hour performance.

His professionalism and wit was also reflected in his wonderful backing band (all of whom were either from Los Angeles or Canada); kudos especially to the bloke who, much to the delight and amazement of many, managed to accomplish the feat of playing a saxophone, keyboard AND a bass drum...all at the same time!

All in all, therefore...a fantastic evening was had. Other people in the audience were also really lovely and there was a great atmosphere to the whole event.
